The mission of the present Spanish Cardiac Computational Modeling Research Network is to promote collaboration between different Spanish groups with extensive experience in the field of cardiac and hemodynamic computational modeling, with the general objective of facilitating and accelerating the development, implementation and application of computational models in biomedical research.<\/p>\n

It is a multidisciplinary network in which its members research the heart and vascular system from different points of view: electrophysiological, biomechanical or cardiovascular, together with experts in numerical methods and high-performance computing. The network is made up of internationally consolidated groups, and will enhance the international impact of Spanish science in this area.<\/p>\n

To achieve these objectives, a series of actions have been designed to promote joint activities, such as participation in projects or scientific publications, and to attract young talent. The aim is to create discussion forums and increase contact with doctors and companies in the sector by organizing specific seminars. The network aims to facilitate the use of computational models in daily clinical practice, facilitating the design of more effective and safer personalized therapies.<\/p>\n

The network is a continuation of the Spanish Research Network on Cardiac Computational Modeling (V-Heart SN) granted in 2017 (DPI2016-81873-REDT).<\/p>\n
